The search engine giant Google always has something up its sleeve. At times the company is introducing new and fun gadgets and some times it is researching on how to build robots. But the company really wants to take a step back and look at the basics for a while especially its search facility. Google is not just experimenting this time – it is serious. The experts at Google want to eliminate the one thing that Google does best – searching.
There is nothing to worry about because the company intends to introduce semantic searching which, to them, makes more sense. The company has provided that when users usually search for something, all the related search results appear on the page. The user has to quickly glance at all the results before clicking on the one that is the most relevant. This is what Google is not happy about.
What is Semantic Search?
The company wishes to introduce a new form of search which will make more sense from the user’s perspective. They will not be thrown a bulk of search results at. With semantic searching, the algorithm working behind the search engine will understand the meaning of the search term and hence provide meaningful results, saving users a lot of hassle and a lot of time. In short, the new search is going to allow users to smart search for everything on the web. A perfect example of such an algorithm is Panda which was recently introduced by Google and has affected 12% of the overall search results.
Semantic searching or in other terms, meaningful searching is based on a simple concept. When you enter a word in the search bar, for example, “music”, Google’s auto-fill dropdown will show results like “music video”, “music artist”, etc. The word music will show in the end. These dropdown options are implying that people mostly search for these terms on the search engine and if you click on just “music”, it will be set as your primary dropdown option. Hence, the search engine “understands” the most relevant search term for your results.
Website Owners Reaction
Website owners on the other hand are not at all happy with this change. For years they have worked on optimizing their websites for Google with the algorithm the company had initially provided. Now the company is changing the algorithm and website owners see their optimizing going down the drain. However, in reality this is not the case. Google is just preventing website owners to dig out the most-searched for keywords and then bulk them on to their websites.
According to BusinesstoCommunity, the company is prioritizing towards penalizing website owners who spam websites with their links and such keywords. It believes that the practice of keyword stuffing has got to go since it is eventually the wrong way to make potential clients or customers land on the website.
In order to calm website owners down, Google has provided that the new algorithm is going to consist of an improved form of the same algorithm which will provide an opportunity to work towards legitimate optimization instead of spamming.

HTC's Windows Phone 8 Powered '8S' – In-depth Review There have been many Windows Phones making their debut ever since the new operating system debuted with version 8. And the HTC Windows Phone 8S looks like it can leave the competition biting the dust. Just in terms of price, the HTC phone is way cheaper than the Nokia Lumia, its closest competitor. If you’re looking for a good mid-range Windows 8 Phone, this might be the one for you.
The phone comes with a
1 GHz dual-core processor,
4 GB internal storage- with support for 32 GB microSD cards and 512 MB of RAM.
The battery is a tad disappointing, a mere 1,700 mAh but do remember that the same number runs some pretty high-tech phones, so you’re not too badly off.
It is an attractive looking phone as well with Super LCD Gorilla Glass covering its 4” 480X800 resolution screen. You’ll enjoy the happy-making color scheme of the phone, something of an icon with the Windows phones. But while the other phones come in lovely, bright single shades, the HTC sports two colors. The main portion of the phone is one solid shade while the strip at the bottom of the phone is a different shade. This two-tone scheme is distinct to the HTC and it great to look at, no matter what angle.
It is a slim phone, perhaps the sleekest you might have set eyes on, at 120.5 X 63 X 10.3mm and the impression of thinness is further supported by curved edges. It is not a lightweight phone, weighing in at 113 grams, but some heft is good, endorsing the feeling that you have a good product on your hands and not a cheap version. While the finish is plastic, not glass or metal, the rubbery touch makes it easy to hold and doesn’t look tacky either.
Browsing the internet is simple, if a bit slow, on the HTC 8S. It comes with HSDPA and Wi-Fi. Scrolling through websites is a pleasure and words and images are crisp and clear. Connectivity is in the form of Bluetooth and GPS and the 3G speeds are pretty decent. The Wi-Fi tends to slow a bit, which can be annoying.
The 5 megapixel camera supports 720p video and there is no front facing camera, so video calls and the like, are out of the question. It comes with some options. You can create cool effects like negative or sepia and work with ISO, contrast, exposure, saturation and white balance.
The Bing Maps isn’t impressive but does a good job, being accurate and well laid out. In terms of apps, there’s not much to write home about here, except perhaps OneNote, the note taking app.
The HTC 8S is a good looking phone with a unique design to set it apart. Considering that it’s a mid-range phone, it is smooth and efficient and its inclusion of a microSD card slot places it above other, more expensive phones. On the downside, there’s a low battery life, slow internet experience and not much by way of apps and media. But it delivers on social networking and texting. If you’re keen on a Windows 8 phone that doesn’t cost the earth, you could think about the HTC 8S.

These are the few questions asked in HR interview (some of them already known to us)!! The answers are really stunning and inspiring. Thinking out of box!
A must read… Question 1: You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:
An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
An old friend who once saved your life.
The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?
Answer:
This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.
* You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first;
* or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back.
* However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. Guess what was his answer?
He simply answered:
"I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside the Box."
Question 2: What will you do if I run away with your sister?" Answer: The candidate who was selected answered " I will not get a better match for my sister than you sir"
Question 3: Interviewer (to a student girl candidate) – What is one morning you woke up & found that you were pregnant. Girl – I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate with my husband.
Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed it well. Why I should think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked
Question 4: Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate.
Coffee arrived kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you? Answer:Candidate: Instantly replied "Tea"
He got selected.
You know how and why did he say "TEA" when he knows very well that coffee was kept before.
(Answer: The question was "What is before you (U – alphabet)
Reply was "TEA" ( T – alphabet)
Alphabet "T" was before Alphabet "U"
Question 5: Where Lord Rama would have celebrated his "First Diwali"? Answer: People will start thinking of Ayodya, Mitila [Janaki's place], Lanka etc…
But the logic is, Diwali was a celebrated as a mark of Lord Krishna Killing Narakasura.
In Dusavataar, Krishnavathaar comes after Raamavathaar.
So, Lord Rama would not have celebrated the Diwali At all!
Question 6: The interviewer asked to the candidate "This is your last question of the interview.
Please tell me the exact position of the center of this table where u have kept your files." Answer
Candidate confidently put one of his finger at some point at the table and told that this was the central point at the table.
Interviewer asked how did u get to know that this being the central point of this table,
then he answers quickly that sir u r not likely to ask any more question, as it was the last question that u promised to ask…..
And hence, he was selected as because of his quick-wittedness. ……..
Question 7: A man and his son are in a car crash. The father is killed and the child is taken to hospital gravely injured. When he gets there, the surgeon says, 'I can't operate on this boy – for he is my son!!!' How can this possibly be? Answer: The surgeon cannot operate on her own son; she is his mother.
Question 8: There are six eggs in the basket. Six people each take one of the eggs. How can it be that one egg is left in the basket? Answer: The last person took the basket with the last egg still inside.
Question 9: How could a baby fall out of a twenty-story building onto the ground and live? Answer: The baby fell out of a ground floor window.
Question 10: Acting on an anonymous phone call, the police raid a house to arrest a suspected murderer. They don't know what he looks like but they know his name is John and that he is inside the house. The police bust in on a doctor, an engineer, a lawyer and a fireman all playing poker. Without hesitation or communication of any kind, they immediately arrest the fireman. How do they know they've got their man? Answer: The fireman is the only man in the room. The rest of the poker players are women.
Never forget to "Think Outside the Box."
Got this in internet, thought its good to share with you readers.
